CF reader for iPad

The original iPad would let you use a CF card reader with the camera connection kit. But then Apple reduced the current available to the multi- pin port on the iPad with version 4.2 of the iOS and this method of transferring files to the iPad stop working. You had to connect via the cameras USB cable. This was slow and drained the cameras battery.

Browsing MacForums I found this link to a device that lets you download CF cards to the iPad again. Not used it myself but from the post it seems to work

Using the camera connection kit my £4 multi card reader works perfectly with my iPad 2 iOS 5.0.1 (as it did with my iPad 1).

There was a previous thread about it here late last year.
