CF card ideas

Like many who went digital years ago, I have a collection of small capacity CF cards in the 1 to 4 gb range.

Has anybody come up with any interesting uses for these now redundant cards.
 
When I sold an older camera, I included all the small capacity CF cards with it free of charge. There is still a small market for them, as some older cameras can't read cards bigger than a few Gb.
 
can i have one?
seriously they are used in certain vintage PC's as hard disk emulation 4gb is a good size

I have a couple of 4gb cards (not sure about cases), pm me your details and I will send if you want.

I have received this from John and have to say am delighted :) These will get used in old vintage PC's to bring them back to life.

yes CF cars are actually mini ATA drives and there technology is very easy to create an interface to be compatible with old school BIOS where drives were specced in heads, sectors and cylinders.

no worries , lets just say us vintage computer nerds love old CF card if you have any more please send me them :)
 
Some of us are still using those old cameras for fun. My D100 only copes with 2GB cards maximum. 200 pictures to a card.
 
I used to use (IIRC) 256 MB cards (yes, MB!) in my D70 which gave about 40 shots, so replicated the frustrations of film use! Only as an exercise - IIRC, either the CP3100 or the D70 came with a Nikon branded 4MB card...
