Yes
Just had a FAB 5 days in the Notts CP, and thought I'd sahe a few observations... :D

I discovered Grey Squirrels like bread

And also they will fight a rabbit for a carrot (rabbit wins)

Rabbits like bread too

I'm still good at Badmington, Table Tennis, Squash and good enough at Short Tennis to beat several teenagers

My mind is more enthusiastic & willing to play for hours than my body can cope with !!!

I look great in trunks (in my head) and crap in trunks (in reality) though am about averagely overweight for my age !!!

Most females around 20 look good, over 30 are fat & most over 40 are very fat

Old women look MUCH worse in swimwear than old men

Tattoos can look great, until you're over 50 then you look a pillock with them

Few foreigners go to Center Parcs, and especially few darker skinned ones - no idea why, but we noticed this in the Lake District CP too

ALWAYS take your own pillow if you can, it would aid sleep immensely

Squirrels sometimes go around in a group of 10+ and make a Hell of a racket doing so

Ducks are quiet when not in water

Swans are taller than you think when on land

Pedalos are very very hard work when the surface water is frozen and you're acting as an ice-breaker

Any food labelled as 'American' has 10x the calories of any other labelled country produce

1 degree angle on the bath-tap is 90 degrees difference in temperature !!!

You need to flush 3x to remove a good Indian meal of the night before :D

You WILL forget where you parked the car - allow 20 mins to find it

Short-cuts are NOT

You WILL have a great time and WILL NOT want to come home :(

Enjoy

sounds about right. Pics?

Sherwood forest centre parks is the place we had our honeymoon... it was great apart from it rained all week and it was that bad on the second day they shut down the lake - which wasn't bad for JULY!

We've been a few times to Longleat and Whinfell... both great places, we've always had a good time... it seems odd though, that we are happy to pay a small fortune to leave our cars and walk everywhere

Still, we'd go back again

My brother claims to know of at least one person who funds his trip to Centre Parcs by filling his van up with bikes at the weekend then flogging them when he gets home :bat:

Short-cuts are NOT

Also, when walking or cycling around the site, don't follow the signs as they're for the cars. We once did a 2 mile round trip following those when we were only 100 yards down a footpath from the villa!!

I used to wear Spedos, well untill the s fell off.

:D

I've been to both Longleat and Elveden Forest Center Parcs and personally prefer Elveden Forest and plan on going back soon

Let me get this straight Alison, Are you saying you feel at home in a zoo???????? :p:coat::exit:

If you ever meet my other half think "Big ginger silverback gorilla" and you will understand why I like Longleat. :D

lol My other half is actually a nightmare to go to the zoo with. The animals usually take one look and run off! Not joking either, I've seen it too often for it to be a coincidence. I'm sure that big Silverback at Longleat thought he had spotted a long lost cousin!

Was just waiting for him to shout "Ginger! Ginger is that you?" :D

First hand experience. They have on average 4-7 stolen EACH day. Had my 10 week old Orbea stolen. Had a strong d lock on it that I use for my motorbike front wheel, but the local crims just wander around the site with bolt croppers and take the expensive bikes. All after dark. No come back, no warnings even though C>P> know this is a big problem for guests. After the recent refit, over 200 flat screen tv's were stolen as there is no means of locking the patio doors.

Tears and rant over.
