Hi there,

Has anyone used or heard of a shop called "Celtic Vision", based in Narberth, Wales?

They have a site http://www.celtic-vision.co.uk/ and do seem to be very competitive on price.

I ask as I'm looking at getting a Panasonic GX1 in the New Year and they have the body & X lens listed at £599 which is £100 cheaper than Jessops & around £150 cheaper than the RRP.

Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks

Allan

Rather odd shop in that they don't sell Canon stuff...?? But they seem to have an address. Don't know personally.

Domain name registered in 2003 and registered domain holder lives in Narbeth so seems okay on the surface.

I don't know about "celtic" but the name is very similar to a shop in Wales I ordered a Nikon camera from in 2004 & this was called "Keltic". I waited for 4 weeks and still no camera, ended up getting my money back.

Thanks for the feedback, I might take a trip down that way in the new year, using the power of Google Street Maps I know the shop exists and you never know. they might just be very aggressive on pricing but these days it's always best to check first .

The also run West Wales Binoculars so maybe I am just being over cautious. It is strange that they do no Canon gear at all, maybe they are just Nikon fanboys :)

Hi Hugh, that's the kit lens version, Celtic Vision have it with the new compact x lens for the same price..outstanding deal.

Hi, they are a real shop - they have a small shop in Narberth. I haven't been there recently, but I did buy a new SB800 from there a few years ago. It's probably best to ring and see if they've got it in stock - I found the owner of the shop to be good to deal with as well.
