hi guys quite new to digital photography and computers bit of a basic question but how many photos can you get on cd? i want to transfer my photos from my computer to cd. Kevin

a cd will hold either 640 or 700mb. divide that by the typical size of your photo's and you'll get the number. Assuming a 10mb file size that would give 64 or 70. DVD would give you more...

Bear in mind that you will need to replace the CDs every few years, as they degrade...

I use DVD discs, 4GB's of storage so say each file is approx 8MB's then your looking at about 500 images per disc
