CD/DVD shredder

You can use the credit card shredder option on a normal paper shredder.
 
Microwave on full power for a few seconds, sorted :-)

50 or so.

How many do you need to shred?
 
Sometimes Lidl\Aldi have them and you get 3 years warranty with them.
 
+1 for microwave - great fun - or use a stanley blade from the side with the label on....
 
Interesting idea to use the microwave, but not keen on that.

Over 100 coasters that need to be destroyed, and probably 4 or 5 monthly thereafter.

Old fashioned guillotine?? Just slice them straight through.

If it is a matter of removing sensitive data then stick them dye side up on a sunny window ledge. CDRs and DVDRs fail surprisingly soon when exposed to sunlight...zero effort required.
 
Wire wool them, then use the wire wool for some "sparks" shots.

or as I usually do just take a hammer to them

Use a normal shredder with credit card slot and do 20 a day or so. Give it chance to cool after a few just in case.
