cd drive

i seem to have deleted the drive to my CD tray . when i put a disc in it go,s through the start sequence but nothing happens after that.
I do not get any info up on the screen.
Do i get a repair man in or is there some simple explanation ?

Can you still see the drive in 'my computer' or windows explorer?

Looks like the drivers are corrupt or missing.
I suppose i will have to get the Man in to sort it.

if you can see the drive in File Explorer - it may just be that auto-run has been disabled.

can you see the drive?

if so - right click :: properties :: autoplay!

Now sorted.
I had somehow deleted some of my drives , but now with a little help from my friend he has put them back.
B.......Y headaches these puters :bang::bonk:
