Anyone here use CBD oil for long term pain? (arthritis, fibromyalgia).
If so where do I even start? Most reviews I've been reading is 50/50 on whether it works. I'm happy to pay and try.
What's a good trusted brand to try? How much strength does it come in?

How random, someone just asked if I could photograph some of their product last week. I forgot their brand now but I will report back when i get the info.

Tried lots of different ones, nothing worked.. Except one, but it had something added, or should I say not taken away that Im not allowed to discuss here. :police:

Ive tried from 100mg to 2000mg strengths. The stronger it is, the more it costs. Think I paid over £200 for the 2000mg one. Ive tried, oils, gummies, vapes and capsules.

When I started trying it, it was a new thing and very few places sold it, now you can get it everywhere, but be very wary of being off eBay and the likes. Find a brand that openly provides the testing certificates and results. I used canavape products quite a bit, the drops and the vape liquids. Tastes nice, but didn't have any effect sadly.

Can you pm me the one?

I think he's talking about cannabis itself, you know the one with the THC content ;)

Ahh ok, 30 years ago I would have just sparked up a Jamaican Woodbine. But with so many Grandkids about that would be a no no now.

It’s a cbd vape oil still, just happens to have left something in that all the others remove. I can’t use it much due to my job, but if I have a long weekend then a few puffs helps to take the edge off the pain.

My mom (in USA) has severe fibro along with other things, she swears by it and it does make an obvious difference. My dad also says it helps him. And I've seen it help my wife's grandmother. I've tried it and it doesn't really help me.

I've been "struck" down with what appears to be polymyalgia rheumatica. It started about 4 weeks ago in the front of both thighs and I thought I had overstretched them. Nothing I did worked, went to a physio who said I had strained both psoas muscles but I was unconvinced. It's now progressed to the point where I am virtually immobile with pain and stiffness in my neck, arms, shoulders, hips and thighs. I can't even dress myself properly and sleep is a distant goal.

I had a blood test on Monday and see the doc tomorrow night. I expect to be given prednisolone which works very quickly.
In the meantime I've started vaping CBD e-liquid, only started today and it may be having a slight effect already. I spoke to a woman at VitalityCBD who advised me exactly what liquid I needed and recommended a vape starter kit even though they only sell the liquid.

I'm not a smoker and I find it difficult not to cough. it makes my mouth dry and I don't like the taste but apart from that it looks promising :D

I do have a spray that you put into tea or coffee, not sure if the strength but it give me pretty bad anxiety, so had to stop using it.

Sorry to hear that Laurence, watch out using those steroids for too long, have some nasty side effects.
Had a few too many the other year taking 60mg doses for my Cluster Headaches, sent me a bit (more) crazy and couldn't hardly sleep
Also beware of the vaping, only reading the other day that they are having serious concerns over its safety in the US.
I think the most concern did involve the type you mentioned, too early to know the real effect it might have on health

One drug that might help to mention is Gabapentin aka Neurontin, prescribed for seizures, but is also widely used for nerve pain relief
I tried it for my Cluster Headaches, didn't do much for that, but my back and shoulder pain felt the best it had for years
Also good for getting a nights sleep, found it a reasonable drug to take with minimal side effects.

Thanks mate, I'm not too concerned about the long term effects of the vaping as I only intend it as a fall back position if I get a relapse during the gradual withdrawal of the steroids.
Sorry to hear about your cluster headaches, very debilitating.

I bought some Jacob Hooy CBD Oil 5% from Holland and Barrett just to dip my toe in the water so to say.
I don't know if it's the placebo effect or not but I would say it feels like the pain has dropped.
I need a stronger amount to try. Where from though? (that's their strongest)
