Cat5 faceplate question

Quick question - what depth of backbox do you need for a CAT5 single faceplate for a bit of home network? I have a 35mm box which gives just under 50mm of back space with the plasterboard but can't find anything that tells me the depth needed for a modular faceplate for a network

35mm should be ok, but check your keystone first, as they have cable tie points and they can come off at different angles. If your using cat6 cable then go deeper, as its a bit tight otherwise.

You can get face plates that protrude out specifically designed for shallow back boxes. It this is any help

35mm should be fine, we work around that with cat5 on installs.

Just got a keystone and faceplate from Wickes - looks decent and only needs a small backbox so fine on space
