cat in bin woman gets police protection?!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...n-cat-wheelie-bin-gets-police-protection.html

seriously.. :cuckoo:

stick the cow in a bin for 15 hours and see how she likes it, not give her police protection.

4chan would DESTROY her otherwise, they didn't really have any option. For some reason, the internet bloody loves cats, and has on several occasions before genuinely destroyed the lives of cat harmers, costing (in their more gentle pranks) local pizza delivery, taxi, etc companies a fortune in fraudulently ordered items to their houses.

Not condoning her actions whatsoever, but end of the day, it's the police's job to protect -everyone- even convicted murderers, so that the appropriate punishment by law can be dealt out, but no vigilante action, which often knows few limits.

justice is being done, the daft cow is scared to leave home and may have to quit her job.

It's a cat. It got put in a bin, not through a garden shredder. It was unharmed. We shouldn't let the woman be lynched because of a few hippy idiots shouting a lot on the internet. Completely over the top responses and fueled by The Mail. For all any of us know, that cat could have been going to the lavatory in the womans garden for the past however long and finally she took the chance for a bit of revenge.

Well said Wiseman , didn't we have thread on here recently about that very subject of cats messing in gardens and how to stop it

I think those defending her would be a little less forgiving if it was a 16 yr old chav who had dumped the cat in the bin.

Just sayin'....

I'm definitely not defending her, I think at very least, she should be shut in a wheelie bin for 15 hours :D . Just saying why they've put in the protection - though she'll probably get 20 minutes community service and 50p fine :(

Nope not at all, what a waste of police time, but that's one of the downsides of the internet, it's easier to stir up mob rule, happens all the time.
People always condemn somones actions and start a witch hunt, then the truth comes out but the party concerned is still blackened, have some similar but far more serious going on round here atm

Well said.

Are some of the previous posters condoning animal cruelty? The cat was put inside a wheelie bin and was there for 15 hours. I have no idea what the temperature was, it could have been bearable or red hot inside that bin, there could have been broken glass in there, poisonous chemicals, etc, etc.

I'm not a hippy idiot thank you, just someone who could never ill treat an animal unlike that woman.

Lisa

A bit steep IMO...I'm not a big fan of dogs either but this is just plain mean...she deserves a hearty punch in the tits...

Scum, end of! She should lose her job because of it, and face a jail term!

Those who defend her can probably find a reason to defend the story posted by Ade too?

Cruelty to animals in my books is the same as to children! You are doing harm to someone who cannot defend themselves. If anyone did that to my dogs god help them!

Sick bar stewards!

Too true.

I would love to work for the RSPCA, but would end up in a lot of trouble as I would not be able to control myself with some of the scum who do this sort of stuff.

Funnily enough though in prison those who abuse animals suffer, as many love animals they same way they love "Ma"

PCSOs are on duty outside the woman's home 'to ensure public order is maintained'
Well, maybe the police officer who decided to offer her protection thinks that she should be lynched - they've only provided PCSOs, not police officers:)

I can just see the headlines tomorrow...

"Kitty Litter!!"

I would be worried too if I were her, some of the animal rights nutters that protested at Huntingdon Life Sciences were very violent people

Even more extreme are some of the PETA mob, terroists to all intents and purposes
Had a mate whose sister was heavily involved in that scene and they are seriously crazy

No excuses for that fat miserable cow though and hope she is ******** herself now just like that poor old moggy must have been

All those of you defending the sick woman, please remember, if the cat was never released from the bin, when the bin men come round to attach the bin to the automated refuse lorry, the cat would have been dumped into the lorry's crushing system. What a dreadful way to go!!! Yes, i suffer from a cat crapping in my back garden from time to time, but i certainly wouldn't do anything like that to a cat. a bucket of water or a tennis ball thrown at it usually does the trick.
The woman should be Taken to court, and made an example of. Perhaps sit her in a lion enclosure, (such as the one at chessington zoo) , sat in the wheelie bin. I bet she'd never want to come out of it!!!! Perhaps we could all go down and take photos of here booing her eyes out for 15 hours!!!

I love animals & we also have a cat who does not go into any gardens to do his business,he is 7yrs old & still comes back in to use his litter box, just a loving house cat.
She deserves all that comes to her,i can,t abide animal cruelty,i would love to throw her in a bin,the bitch.

Even if a cat was crapping in my garden I wouldn't see the problem - they dig a small hole, do their business, then fill it in again after them - some dog taking a dump and leaving monster turds all over would be a problem though, so I don't really get the problem with cats at all?

I think what she did was pathetic and stupid. I hope she gets all thats coming to her. Whilst she didnt cause any actual physical harm to the Cat, her actions are indefensible.

She shouldnt have ANY protection of any description, she will get all the attention she deserves now!!!;)

Well we dont keep cats, never have never will, one day our neighbour said "her cats dont crap in her garden" My reply "No they come in ours", its awful when gardening with a trowel and find that mess, now we have a super soaker water pistol ready, they dont come in much now!!! dirty little gits, if we do find any crap it goes straight back into her garden. dont condone the womans behaviour though thats cruel

Absolute nonsense. There is no excuse for her behaviour.

People do some sad things................... even worse than this.... get some perspective

She isn't receiving "police protection" - that's just a journalist's interpretation.

"Police Protection" is very, very rare, and involves such things as changing names, frequent new houses, 24/7 links to specialist teams, etc. It's usually reserved for (deep) undercover officers where there is a threat to their life, or high-level CHIS's in the same circumstances. That isn't what's going on here.

The woman received some "words of advice" from her local force to help her look out for her own safety. Honestly, the media are full of such b*llocks it's a wonder anyone still takes anything they say at face value.

Going back to what I said earlier, it would appear that I may have upset a couple of people, so I would like to take a moment to elaborate on what I posted.

Firstly the cat escaped unharmed. No injuries what-so-ever. Had a worse outcome resulted from the womans actions, then I could understand the cries for a heavy punishment.

What the woman did was wrong, undoubtedly and at no point did I say otherwise. She should never have done it. However no one yet knows her side of the story. Like I posted earlier there may have been circumstances leading to her actions. However, I never defended her and neither would I have done what she has done.

Because of the fact we are living in such media rich times, the video has been posted everywhere and typically people with more extreme views have picked up on it. The woman has been threatened and because of this the police have taken the decision to offer a level of protection to her. A total waste of time and money but needed because, in my opinion, so many media outlets have fanned the flames and it has been blown all out of proportion.

Interesting quote. Drop the cat in a bin and its unharmed after a 15 hour kip, quick round up the mob. Cat in my garden, lets try to thump it with a tennis ball. Slight touch of hypocrisy perhaps.

Absolute nonsense. There is no excuse for her behaviour

In your opinion. I have a toddler who plays in our garden. Without her shoes if its sunny, perhaps. Now if my kiddy kept 'finding' cat poo all over the garden, it would upset me and if I knew who's cat it was I would probably have a quiet word. However, maybe the lady in the video decided to take things a bit further. We just don't know.

And now a quote from a police spokesman.

Community support officers are outside the woman's address monitoring a large group of people - most of them from the media - for public order purposes as per routine police procedure.

Sounds to me like she is being protected from a lynch mob.

I've already said that, what she has apparently is a couple of PCSO 'protecting' her:lol:

Sounds to me like she needs to be protected! Salman Rushdie got lesser threats and he got protection ....

with respect, piffle.

cat repellant sprays work around gardens, or get a dog, or a waterpistol. Even sonic scarers and Noise boxes do it. picking a cat up and sticking it in a closed bin that it cant get out of is just wrong, the cat owner was on the radio earlier, the cat was covered in its in mess and in a bit of state when he found it. what if the bin men were round that day? crushed kitty?

IMHO the woman is an evil bitch and I dont beleive for one moment its because a cat might crap in her garden. You cant defend sick people like her.
