Yes, and I am really impressed with how much better the food is for my cat. He has had KatKin for the last 15 months.

Zero waste as he eats every last scrap every time ... even coming back several times to check! (once I had sorted out which flavours he preferred) Previously fed on Sheba, Encore, Gourmet and assorted "cheap" foods where often I would throw away food he had licked all the gravy off the chunks. I put the cheap in inverted commas because while KatKin seems expensive at first it actually isn't because my cat would eat at least 4 pouches of "cheap" food plus biscuits every day. Now he has one pouch of KatKin a day split into 3 meals.

His coat is in much better condition, his breath is sweeter and his poo is much less stinky! :puke: (and less of it as there are no "fillers")

If he is happy, I am happy! :)

We have a fussy little Ginger short-hair Tom, depending on his mood he likes Whiskas, Gourmet or stuff called Canin that the vets recommended. Never heard of this Katkin stuff, will pass the info on to her good self, she's bought him other brands onling in the quest to discover what pleases the little tosspot :ROFLMAO:
 
I wanted my cat to have more than the 4% meat in Whiskas etc.

Here’s what’s in KatKin meals, 100% premium ingredients, handmade, lightly steamed and frozen fresh. The meat/fish is human grade not "mechanically recovered" and the customer service is excellent from my experience.

You will need space in your freezer to store 28 pouches though!

Do no harm to ask your vet for advice. I have always found mine to be clued up about dog food and I am pretty sure they'll also know about cat food (esp. if any problems have surfaced).

The trouble with a lot of vets is that they are affiliated to pet food companies ...
 
Hi, sorry to jump in with a silly question, how big are the pouches? Similar to felix etc?
I'm keen to try this but our freezer is small.
Do fussy cats take to it ok?

Monitoring this. We have an older cat who likes Gourmet but not several of the others, and three kittens who will eat anything at present and I don't want them getting fat on rubbish food but don't want to spend a fortune with so many to feed.

The pouches vary in size slightly because they are calorie counted rather than weight so depends on which flavour and how heavy/active your cat is but mostly about 14cm square and maybe a bit thinner than a Felix one. One pouch a day split into however many meals you choose. I feed Benji 3 or 4 meals as he used to throw up if he stuffed too much down in one go.

You get full instructions on how to transition your cat but I just put it down next to his Sheba and he wolfed the KatKin and ignored the Sheba! Job done. There are some of the flavours he wasn't as keen on (but still ate all of!) so I tailor his order to get more or less of some flavours, so you may have a bit of trial and error. The customer service is superb and you can normally speak to a real live (mad) cat person on the phone.

I only have a small freezer and his food takes one drawer but I cleared out stuff that had been in there too long and made room.

Benji costs me £1.86 a day but your kittens will be more as they are growing. How much is a "fortune" when you are responsible for them for (hopefully) 10 plus years? A handy tip I learnt from another user is that if you are buying for 2 cats it is much cheaper to order bigger pouches and split them rather than buy individual pouches for each cat, also takes up a bit less freezer space.
 
@Tigger.ufo Feeding three kittens, a senior cat and senior dog costs a fair bit which I am only too willing to spend and I won't give them really rubbish food, I do want them to eat well. The older ones are happy with what they have and the older cat turns his nose up whenever I have tried him on more expensive/better quality food - he doesn't even like the fresh fish and chicken I periodocally give them. It's the kittens I'm more concerned about, currently spending circa £22/week on their food and if I could keep it under £30-35 I'd be fine with that. In the past I've had to pay for special diabetic cat food, and special food for an old dog too, so I'm not going to skimp on it.
