Well I applied for my cash-back on my 40D
and used the tracking number supplied
They received my request on the 25th Feb 2008.......
This is what the web site said :shrug:


Date Mailed: 03-June-2008 Cheque Currency: GBP
Status: Your cashback or premium item was mailed on the date above.
Please allow approximately 10 business days for delivery.
Promotion Type: Cashback

I think I might just have to wait longer than 10 days :D
 
Well if their system can't get the date right then I wouldn't trust any of the info they put on there!

A couple of people I know have said it takes a few weeks to come through.

I think I read somewhere on the site "21 days"
You never know I might get it sometime :D
 
Anyone else still waiting? I posted mine mid January (RMRD)but this email states mid Februaury :nono: It also states 20 days which has come and gone, but nowt. Have tried the website below but my login is not recognised :(

The web site has probably got its date formats confused. I bet they meant March 6th (which we'd say is 06/03/2008 but many countries would say is 03/06/2008) rather than June 3rd.

But it was on there site "as printed" not just the numbers
it still says the same and I'm still waiting :D
 
It doesn't recognise my reference number!

Anyone any ideas? I've mailled them but I'm a bit concerned.

Your are definately using the "submission ID"
as supplied with the confirmation email I take it?
 
No confirmation email....only the screengrab from the registration form!

hey, sorted mine mid jan as well, turned up today, send em an email asking what happening, the site wasnt working for me either.

Ooo again! I got confirmation emails both times ( this year and last year)
 
Is this for the 2007 promotion?

If so, I bought a 10-22 in November/Early December and received my cashback mid January.

Is there a 2008 promotion? If so, I think I will ask the boss nicely for a 40D later this year! :)
 
Canon are usually very good (or have been) with my cashbacks. Have applied twice now and got the money into my account within 6 weeks on both occasions.

Try emailing Ruben Coppens with any reference numbers..ruben.coppens@cpginc.com (I think) Am away from home at the moment so this email addy is from memory...
 
I applied for mine in mid Jan and got it through today, oddly enough just after I dug out the email with the link to follow to see when I should be getting it. Could have saved myself the bother if I had opened the post first :p

The site claimed it was sending the money in April - so god knows how that works!
 
Come on Canon otherwise Chris won't be able to buy us all drinks! :nuts:

Have had 3 cashback ref.numbers in the past and none of them were recognised, nothing to worry about as I still got my cash back in the end.
 
Mine has been well over a month since I got a confirmation email, submition ID not recongnised so I will give them 2 or 3 weeks and contact them.
But during the last cashback it was taking far longer than this so i'm not that bothered yet.
 
I'm another one who did not get a confirmation email, and my ID is not recognised either..............But in the past it has always taken an age for it to come through, so I am not too bothered at the moment. Plus if it comes soon I might just have to put it towards something on the current cashback offer, so I will be back to square one..........

Well it sounds like there are plenty of others in the same boat so I'm not too worried anymore :) but what a rubbish tracking system!
 
Applied for mine early January for purchasing 40D, never received any aknowledegement or email. Enquired early February they said they did'nt receive a copy my receipt though they had the barcode...strange cause the reciept was stapled to the barcode. Sent another copy of receipt to them and they now say your cashback will be with you soon...still waiting
 
This whole cash back thing seems a bit of a fiasco on Canons part. Very "hit and miss"
Though most people seem to get paid out .................eventually...........

That is of course unless "you" know different :shrug:

I see no-ones mentioned the fact that the "base" is in Ireland so I won't either
Manyana and all that :D

I thought the offer didn't start until March and ran till June or thereabouts? :s
 
our cheque came through the door this morning, it was applied for at the end of jan.
 
After reading this thread, I checked my bank account and hey presto it went into account today. Claimed in January - £135.00.
