i wonder how many cash back offers are not paid (till you chase them) :bat:

i took out some insurance with "B12*£56S" bank and the offer said we will send you a cheque in the post after 30 days :rules:

the cheque did not arrive so i phoned them and they said they FORGOT....:gag:

i wonder how many they forget - i did get the cheque it just made me think

how many times they had forgot to charge me interest = 0
how many times they forgot to charge me for an overdraft = 0
how many times they forgot to send me a snotty letter when.... you guessed it 0

seems to be selective "forgetfullness":bang:

Yep, think of the millions they will save by not sending out cheques :|

Have had the same with some cashback schemes and tend to factor them out when I'm considering the price of a product. Normally by the time they arrive I've gone into next months slush fund and forget what the cheque was for anyway ;)

my personal favourite is the mobile phone cashback scams schemes. The hoops you have to jump through to get them are unbelievable, to the point of being so hard, they're just impossible.

yeah, i normally take the free gift instead:thumbs:

Yep, I got burned by Lexmark on a cashback deal they were running on office laser printers.

I took out Post Office car insurance a couple of years back with the promise of a £50 postal order back. Got that no problem. They are running the same offer again by the way but only for new customers not renewals.
