I'm after a reasonably priced case for the new iPad (3rd generation) that's along similar lines to the original Apple black case for 1st gen iPad. Anyone any suggestions? Auto sensing power on/off would be nice as would be a stylus holder, but not essential. Must be able to prop up in landscape orientation in similar way, though.

Yep same here.....Lets know if you find one Will and I'll do the same

No stylus holder, but I really like the SD LuxFolio; mainly because of the 3-position prop options in landscape. Also has the auto on/off.

bought belkin back cover today along with smart cover.
looks and feels good :)

I ended up getting one of these. Really nice case with working auto on/off magnets. I just clip my stylus onto the outside of the spine like I did with the Apple case.

Can't argue for near a tenner£

Does the front cover fold flat when in use and not on angle?

Is there any other similar design but sleeker and thinner?

That was the first one I bought, and the auto on/off didn't work. Apparently they've changed the design. It also only has one working angle, which is too steep most of the time.

That's what I thought! It looked similar to my original Apple case, worked in the same way and was dirt cheap so worth a punt. It is bulkier, but it's still comfortable to hold and provides a good level of protection when it's in my daily bag.

The front cover does fold flat. It folds right back under the iPad.

Bit of research and yoobao looks similar to tecknet in function but better materials and thinner

Thanks but can't seem to view link properly on iphone
