Most people have no idea how fast and planted 911's are. I've had the pleasure if taking a 911 carerra 4s and a 911 gt3rs around the nurburgring... I'd have been VERY surprised to see a vauxhall nova keeping up with me!
 
I loved my Ford Puma Thunder - Bought a smile to my face every time I got in the little thing. Changed it for a Merc SLK and then a 350SL. Both beautiful cars, but never made me smile in quite the same way. Then swapped the Merc SL for a Ford Fiesta ST - Now that was a total little go cart, what a fantastic car. Now? I'm all retired and grown up!!

They certainly are! I've owned and driven many performance cars in my time, and this little beauty I've enjoyed driving the most, that includes TVRs, a Caterham Supersport, Lambos, Porsches etc (Lambos and Porsches wern't owned by me I'll add!!) and the little Williams was the best laugh of all.

Pretty much what mine is but its on ronal 4 spokes with 175/50/13s.
Might be getting a set of twin 40s soon and a peco exhaust to wake the neighbours :D

Some might say it doesn't look like much, but what a car to drive! I had a 1988 8v for almost 4 years and whilst it cost a small fortune to keep on the road, it put the biggest smile on my face every time I went for a drive.

Haven't driven anything else that's come close.

I have had a Puma for ten years and I still love it. Real fun to drive and if you lift off it turns back into a Fiesta so cheap to run. At 100,000 miles apart from tyres, brakes etc, it has had one new wheel speed sensor and half an exhaust pipe.

I have no idea what to replace it with. Another one probably. :thumbs:
 
I had an E46 M3 which I bought new in 2002, awesome car and really fantastic to drive. I took I out to the Swiss Alps when I stayed there for a month...a few hours skiing a day followed by blasting up and down the mountain passes in the spring sunshine. Made me really understand what a truly capable car it was. Six months later I sold it as I realised that living in London you couldn't drive it to anything like it's potential.....

(you know occasionally how a production car goes better than the "spec?"
Well this was one :thumbs: almost twice the legal speed limit " and still felt firmly planted :D)

The most fun was the 3.0 MkII Auto
just sooooooooooooooo slippery in the wet :D

and the wolf in sheep's clothing had to be the
Hillman hunter GLS twin 40's holbay head and cam
etc ( all standard) looked pretty much like the humber with its twin headlights
I "took" many a 3.0 Capri with that :D
and still got a really good return on fuel but at around 50p a Gallon (or something) who gave a ****? lol
 
VW Corrado for me. Only had the 16v but loved everything about the it.
I will have another one day. G60 if you please. :love:
