Cars, cars, cars - a headache.

I've had 3 new cars on Ford's Options scheme (PCP) admittedly back in the 90's and last one I handed back after 18 months of the 2 year term, just walked away with nothing more to pay. As far as I know there is nothing to stop people from still doing the same. Or even part ex'ing the car or selling private and settling the difference.

I had the Honda 2 months but was able to get out of it with a £500 loss

I'd think the loss on a 2 month new car would be 5x that if you could get out of it at all

I was just saying you need to be pretty secure at work and committed to sticking with the car you've chosen

I would either stick if you like it, find it comfortable and nice to drive (I could not say so about my previous cars). Who cares what other people think.

OR you fancy something more economic, more comfortable, more shiny (not a another Beatle imitation for gods sake!). Plenty of nice bigger VWs and BMWs around. Or you could get 4x4 or convertible or a whole VAN. Choice is yours, and shouldn't be based on mileage and age alone.

I would however never ever buy a small car new. Waste of money.
