Daily Carol's 365 from 12th December 2012 - A Year of Happiness

This is one of the regular dancers at our venues in Worcester .... such a great lady and such an energetic dancer - loves dancing and you can tell when you watch her so had to put a photo of her as one of my POTDs ....

I've missed a few Carol i'm sorry..... #2 here also.. the pussy willow is lovely tho i do like the re post.. swans are good to capture..

The ones of your OH are good too, he looks like he's having fun and the lady dancing, you can see by the look on her face she is thoroughly enjoying herself:D

Prefer the 2nd one of your old man

She does look like she's having a ball :D

Thanks Vince, T and Sarah :) Was a brilliant night and she always has a ball wherever she goes :)

Nice set of photos, Carol, although hubby looks a bit serious in the first! Concentrating on getting the job done, no doubt! :) The lady dancing's right in the zone!

I wish I'd have know you were down my way this weekend I'd have tried to see if I'm diary would have allowed meeting up :bang: got to say looks like your still enjoying the birds  and they're doing well for you :D, you should look up the idea of shutter dragging for your club shot's something new to play with basically using a long exposure and front curtain flash to freeze the subject

You're bird shots have definitely improved carol !! And did I spot a multiplicity on flickr...

Thanks Kev .... seems to be nothing but birds and flowers for me to capture around here just lately :(

Hi Carol, just catching up....the retake of the swan is the better of the 2 shots, and nice shot of the pussy willow

Thanks Simon :)

I know Matt - didnt get there till 4 and then had to sort out all the room and make sure it was ready for the night so never even got out for any sightseeing :( Will make sure I get there earlier next time though :) Shutter Dragging?? thats a new one for me ... will have to look that one up

Just a couple of quick ones for yesterday and toady I'm afraid - have been so busy with work and everything that I am running out of time for everything :( I want to carry on with this to the end and am determined NOT to give up but time seems to be always against me and I cant get to the places I want to go .... think I am going to have to get myself into gear and delegate a bit more (sounds easier than it is

So today is some Hebe that I spotted - I love this plant and such lovely colours against the other plant (cant remember the name now)

Another Flower shot - Bet you're getting sick of these now arent you?

A few Daffs to brighten up the day :)

and off I go again - work calls :( Will catch up with everyones threads as soon as I can - Sorry ive not been able to get to them for a few days :(

Daffodils look a bit soft to me Carol - what you been up to

The Hebe by contrast is lovely and sharp.

The Hebe works really well (and I never knew the name before) - great contrast against the other plants and the light is catching some of the leaves around very nicely.

Daffs are not the best you have taken, though I do love a splash of bright colour to an otherwise dull day! :)

I have to say, it does seem to get more difficult, especially to look for amazing shots and great processing. That is why I will say again that my aim is to take a photo each day - some will be ones I work on, some will be ones I don't have as much time as I would like for and some will just document what I have done. Without the real pressure to 'perform' or to 'deliver' I believe I will have a more positive experience! :) I understand completely your comments. Keep at it, Carol, I am enjoying your thread!

Pretty Carol.. Love the Hebe!:D

Thanks T :)

Thanks Sarah :) Yes they are soft arent they? thats the problem I seem to be having just lately - One will be good then the next seems to go off a bit :( hmmm might have to try something else. Have been so bust with OH and gigs and work as well - no time for myself so just seem to be rushing

Thanks Sam :) Hopefully now the nice weather is coming (well I live in Hope) I should be able to get out and about - I am determined tomorrow I will go further afield than I normally do so fingers crossed nothing happens in between now and then :)

Time is can be very tricky. I'm pretty lucky at the moment, my lad is off at uni doing his masters so just me & hubby at home & I only work mornings. Even then time sometimes gets away with me.

Thanks Sarah :)

Well what can I say about today?? hmmmm.... behhhhh day isnt quite the right word - more like 'why the heck did I get out of bed???'
So I thought I would try and get something for today that I had set up myself ..... got some books and tried the pages into hears thing ..... no didnt look right...... tried some food in Macro ..... no, didnt look right ...... so saw this heart that had been in some flowers for Valentines Day and thought it looked a bit plain on its own so added the leaves ..... first name that came to my head - 'Love Will Grow'

I like this a lot, Carol - that part of the plant coming straight up at the top typifies what you are conveying with this shot. Nice one! :)

This little sparrow was sat there for ages just waiting for OH to come in from the garden - I suppose he didnt like him seeing him eat

Awww, how cute - nice crop too. But......

I don't think it's a sparrow ;) Don't know what it is mind you, but I'm pretty sure it's not a sparrow.

Was thinking that myself Sarah so dont know why the heck I put Sparrow  Am going crazy in my old age  I know there were three of them but the other two didnt stay long .... Hopefully someone can let me know exactly what they are :)

He is VERY cute but definitely not a sparrow...they're the brown things we don't see so much anymore!

Not sure what it is, but looks a little like a long tailed tit. maybe. or something along those lines!

Nice capture, Carol, whatever he may be! :)

Bloody amazing carol!!! great captures, i bet you was pleased with these!:D:thumbs:

Yay Long tailed tits are my favourite. They sound like little lazers and they are so skittish. You did really well to capture these fine shots!
