Love the tiffanyesque lights - looks like it was a lovely place.
 
Some nice shots there. And just to show how far behind I am I LOVE the self portrait! The first "mirror" type effect is excellent. Great processing. And the comments are right, they do get easier after you've taken a few. It's always the first 2 or 3 that are the hardest.

Really like the fruit shots as well, nice composition.

Today I am still worn out so I apologize for not commenting on anyones threads yet .... will be doing it as soon as I have a few minutes spare - probably tomorrow after work :)

Todays POTD is Mr Blackbird who came calling again so I got a few shots of him - none of the others stayed long enough .... just looked out of the window and would you believe there is a whole gang of them now :( But camera is away and I am going to get ready for work

So here is being nosy about who else is wanting to call in for lunch

I really do love the lights, Carol, great composition on that one. The paintings on the walls of the Spanish Hall are excellent and you captured them very well - I love the lights in the windows all glowing through! :)

I like today's as well, he's a little soft around the head, but he definitely has that nosy look about him! :D
 
Love the box of records - I've taken a few shots of one of our dance DJs - he does use CDs sometimes, but he mainly DJs from vinyl - I think he's got something like 5000 records (they have a very big house!).

Sounds like you had fun at the weekend. I've danced at the Winter Gardens once - lovely venue! I love the lights in the ceiling and collage of the paintings.

I need to catch up too so will be doing that this week. :)
 
Agree with the above he is a little oof but after the hectic weekend you've had i'm surprised you have the energy for anything lol :D
 
Have to agree with you all - he is way OOF :( But Thanks for letting me off :) Have been at work all day and came home to a guest being here for the radio show (which I had forgotten about ) so had to sort out coffees etc and then stepson and his girlfriend decided they wanted pancakes :eek: Stood my ground and said if they wanted them they had to make them ..... WRONG!!! :lol: My kitchen looked like squatters had been living here for at least 10 years! and that was with a ready mix - all they had to do was add water!!! So ended up taking over and making Proper Pancakes with proper home made mix.... wanted to get a shot of one of them but no chance with those two wolfing them down so settled for the syrup instead :lol:

What a lovely photo. Love the composition and how much is going on (swirls, bubbles, colour highlights, etc.). Very nice indeed.

Okay, first of the lights, wow I love it it the DoF is nice, and the overall composition is really working for me :thumbs:

Spanish room, that looks an interesting location and I like that you've taken this opportunity to show different angle of it :thumbs:

The blackbird, it's looking a little soft for me, not entirely certain where focus is on it

Golden Syrup, oh how rich and tasty looking I've got tooth ache just looking at it :lol:
 
Oooh Carol, I really have to go on Safari to track down golden syrup here :lol: So it was just lemon and sugar for us. Looks lovely :)

Thank you, Carol :) I've only ever really 'lurked' here before but I've been following you and the other 365s regularly since about mid January. Started to feel a little odd, like I was spying on you all and finally plucked up courage to throw in the odd comment. It felt like you all wouldn't mind. You all seem so friendly and supportive of each other. I'm enjoying seeing the inventiveness of your photos and watching you all grow in technique and composition, etc. (Sorry, rambling a bit.) Anyways... thank you again for the welcome.

:lol: you arent rambling at all :) you sound like a lot of us actually - we dont mind comments at all - helps spur us all on ...... We are a crazy bunch and all help each other - especially when the inspiration is a bit thin on the ground but it is always lovely to have someone new join in as well :) Thank you for the comments :)

This is exactly what I need at the moment ... a bit of solitude ..... peace, quiet, me and my camera ......... bliss :D But seeing as that is NOT going to happen in the next few days I'll just settle for a photo of solitude instead :(

Well its Valentines Day and everyone is all lovey dovey and mushy so thought I would join in with this one ....

It was an enormous Chocolate coin with hearts and I love you written on it. I kept the foil but the chocolate is gone so best not ask for any :lol:

Nice shots Carol - but the landscape is awesome - I like to go down to the beach to get away from it all and recharge the batteries. I like to walk up the non populated end - I can feel a trip coming up soon actually.
 
Can almost smell the fresh air of the Solitude... it would be wonderful to sit there, taking in the view, with a big flask of coffee.

The processing of Love is lovely - reminds me of proper burnished metal. Very nice.

I rather like the valentines one too.. nice tones and a cute shot!.....
 
Solitude is an absolute winner, Carol, I really like it! :clap: I am yearning for a bit of that myself at the moment!

You did a great job with LOVE given that it is foil - I would not have guessed as it looks far more 'solid'! Good shot! :)
