Daily Carol's 365 from 12th December 2012 - A Year of Happiness

Thanks Toni :)

What a lovely photo, Carol - lighting is great and the flower is just gorgeous! It looks real to me! :)

Oh yeah, very effective, I'd have been tempted to rotate it 90CW would have been nice to have the flower entering frame from the lower right corner diagonally across the frame

Thanks Everyone :D

Thanks Conor :)

I wouldn't have realised it wasn't real. Sometimes something really simple just works. :)

It was just stuck out in front of me so I thought what the heck, checked no one was close enough to see the camera and got it, wasnt until I walked past it that I realised it wasnt real :)

Today I went across Blackpool to visit my friend as she has been feeling a bit down. We got talking about the Photography and what I have been doing (365 etc) and she came up with so many ideas (helped her get out of her 'down' day as she likes to call them) and she is now going to arrange for me to photograph her 7mth grandson as practice so looking forward to that. We decided to go for a walk and see what we could find around the area and I just photographed anything she thought would be a good shot. Then I went through them all when I got home and thought this one was a great shot for the mood she was in when I left .... bright and happy ... so this is for my friend Cas :D

This is a few houses from a row of about 20 which are all painted different colours. The street has been named Balamory after the childrens TV programme by the locals and is a lovely sight when you drive into Blackpool

That's so... happy! Haha. I'd love to live in a bright blue house.

Thanks Toni :) Some of the houses are yellow and pink and purple..... really bright and cheerful :)

Great shot and lovely colours Carol, just a shame about the black post in the foreground.

oh Bu***r!!!! Thanks Simon ..... never even noticed that would you believe  hmm now wondering if I could clone it out

Good shot and I love that your photography helped you to lift your friend into a brighter mood. :)

Thanks Lynn :)

Very nice and bright, would make a good backdrop for portraits too ;)

Thanks Sarah and Paul :)

Well not too well today so staying in the warmth :( Would much rather go out for a walk but too cold and don't feel well enough to go far. So I hung about the window ( don't know what the neighbours think of a strange woman with camera in hand at the window ) and the Robin decided to call in - though not for long so had to be quick. I know it is a bit soft but had to shoot through the window so that didnt help with the focus much. Sharpened it a bit in editing and cropped it so hope it is okay :)

As you said it's a bit soft, and the focus looks like it hit the fence not the bird, which is a shame. I like the coloured houses in Day 15

I think it did Jake .... was trying to be quick before he shot off - he has eyes i the back of his head has this one  can see everything! Thanks about the houses :)

2 great images Carol Loving the houses! hope you feel better soon x

Thanks T :) Just that bug keeping at me I think - should have gone long time ago but keeps trying to sneak back in :( x

Thanks Sarah :) I like to get as close to the window as possible if I have to get something that way but couldnt get close enough :( Maybe he'll come to the feeder itself over the next couple of days :)

It is a bit soft Carol but I like it! Looks like he's spotted you and is giving you a cheeky smile

I really like the houses, very cheerful and taken at a good angle as well which adds interest.

Yes, today's is soft, but those little buggars can be hard to catch at the best of times - I love it when they have their head slightly to one side like that and look all quizzical! :)

Love the colourful buildings  really brightened up my rather crap day  and although you've missed the focus I do love the stance on the little robin, sure you'll get him better on another day

Thanks Toni :) More like laughing at me *** he gets away every time

Bugs just don't seem to want to leave people at the moment.... it's a nightmare!

So many people with it that it is just a vicious circle

Thanks Sam :) I actually took the photo of the houses straight on then changed the angle when I edited it - liked it a lot more that way

I like the angle you choose to shoot the houses from!

Thanks Tim :)

Thanks Matt :) Brightened my day up as well as my friends. I am determined to get a sharp shot of the little blighter even if I have to take hundreds of them before I do  He will not escape my lens!!!

I know its not perfectly sharp but I love his pose and 'expression'! I always seem to see robins at dusk and there's never enough light. Lovely little birds - hope to see more of this one if you can catch him posing again!

Cute robin, but it's really not easy shooting through glass

Thanks Lynn :) Hoping to catch a lot more of him before he disappears :)

The doors are great Carol , but the Robin is my nightmare and I have the same problems as you are having with bird photography bloody frustrating !!

Thanks Vince :) We need a little sign that they can read saying ' we only want 5 minutes!!'

Thanks Sarah :)

Except the glass in your lens ;)

It is the best glass to shoot through
