Yes
been looking everywhere for a cheapo 50mm AF f/1.7 for my Sony A200, all are £65+ which I can't afford.
So, I thought hmm how about one of these:

mixed with an adapter:

what are the disadvantes of this? obviously manual shooting all the time (plan to anyway) and manual focusing (want to get to grips with this too), are there any other draw backs?

looking at these pics mounted on a fuji dSLR its very impressive:

edit: cheap, like the budgie:

The lens would be £32 after postage, and the adaptor ring is $25, with a $25 shipping charge to Europe. So call it £28 delivered

That's £60 already :)

Check ebay.com - lots more KM lenses for sale than ebay.co.uk....

added a link for a £2 odd adapter, plus there are some auctions for the CZ M42 lenses finishing in the next few days with no bids, could be a £0.99 bargain so total of about £10 with adapter. but thanks for the tip on ebay.com I'll have a lookers

Unless I am mistaken, Minolta MD manual focus stuff will not fit on any of the AF cameras.

you are because its not an MD lens, its an M42 lens ;)
