Carl Zeis Contax to Fuji X adaptor

I have come into possession of a manual focus Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar 80-200 f4 lens and is in such good all round condition I am curious to see what it would be like on the XT2.

Thing is I am confused as to what adaptor to get, I have read of "MM" mount and Yashica Contax mount C/Y.

Can someone tell me which mount adaptor I need, I am not even sure if there is more than one type of mount.

From memory of my Contax days I think they are the same thing. But don't quote me!

They are the same thing. MM was just a revision of the lenses. I've got both AE and MM zeiss glass and they both fit the same mount. MM glass has a green coloured min aperture and the aperture blades form a clean octagonal iris at all stops. AE glass has all aperture markings in white and tends to have "ninja star" bokeh for the first 2 stops.

The Vario-Sonnar 80-200/4 delivers beautiful images. There's a bit of green ca in the bokeh if I remember correctly, but there's loads of contrast and sharpness even wide open. I have one on my shelf next to the 35-70/3.4 and 100-300/4.5-5.6

It's a really well made sturdy lens and this one is in mint condition but until I get hold of the adaptor it's just nice to hold and look at
