Thanks Tim. Appreciate the feedback.

Captive - a simple concept beautifully executed. Tough and gritty - others may copy, few will better. Fast post too!

Hi Gaz

Really like your captive image - bang on theme with really nice lighting.

Your first metal image didn't quite live up to the same standard imo but the second one has a nice abstract feel with lovely rich colours :)

Just realised that I somehow missed commenting on these.

Saw your captive one last week and thought it was an outstanding shot. Great lighting and love the dirt on the hand.

Metal - I really like the shadows and light on the lock, really made me stop and look at it. The manhole cover is great as well.

A great start to your 52, looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks Steve.

You cant comment on all these 52's though, you'd never get away from the pc.

Some say I don't ;-)

Some seemingly straightforward but effective images here, which ain't as easy as they look to get right; you have nailed them.

Metal#2 is my favourite of the three; I am liking the colour, tones and textures, as well as the lines and symmetry. It is a striking and graphical image. If I were being picky, I would focus on the reflection / water in the centre and prefer it to be one solid tone.

Really liking your captive image too; framing and lighting are both effective; the dirty hand is a nice touch and shows an attention to detail.

Good work, fella!

Thanks Simon. Thats some very nice words you wrote there !
I just had a quick peek at your website. Looks great but that image of the girl in the Kitchen (legs tattoo) is pure class. Love everything about that image. I'm a bit weird in the fact that I have a terrible memory but some images I just never forget that will be one of those.

Loving the Captive picture, so gritty :clap:

Metal, I like the lock pic but too many shadows for my taste. The manhole cover suits the theme better imho. (y)

Great captive image. The dirty hands make you think you have been captive for a while.

Miniature try.

Very clever idea, nicely executed!

Can't add anything technically. Nice idea for this weeks theme and love the manhole cover for metal

Hi excellent idea and well thought out light coming at you in the right direction great attention to detail (y)

no crit needed there

Captive - Really strong Picture I had thought of doing something similar kind of glad I didn't.

Metal - I like the lock best but the second one is very metal I like the effect the water gives.

Miniature - I like this. good composition well planned and put together

HaHa .. that says Miniature ... really nice concept, well executed.

OK, there are minor imperfections/contradictions .... best left unmentioned. ;)

Really good I like how you have a shadow on the keyboard.(y)

damn it...... ive just been shooting a similar shot :runaway: ... great idea!!..
Thank you. Carry on ! I would love to see how you get on. This took longer than I expected but I most probably made hard work of it :-)
Nice one. A little close at the bottom but well processed.

Cheers.
Hi Andy. Cropped close at bottom because I had the keyboard on top of 2 baked bean cans :-(

Nicely done Gary. Working on something similar but nowhere near as good as your PP work. Bravo

Thanks Carl. I was happy that it looks quite real. Hope yours goes well, it's all a learning curve.I hadnt tried this before and found it a bit harder to do than what I first thought.
That said I may have made it harder for myself by having a huge light source in front of me.

Miniature - Great job on this, getting the lighting right must have been tough and your shadow is a clever touch. Like the letters on your keyboard (are they normally like this or just for the shot)?

Hi Steve. Thanks for stoppping by.

The letters (ransom type ones) I assume you mean those. They are like that. The letters on the keys have faded away so I cut newspaper letters out and glued them on, sealed them too. As others fade I aim to do more. All family think i'm tight as a new keyboard is £6 at supermarket. Not the money I just like it.

Very good Gary I like it

Miniature - I like it. So creative. Didn't notice the shadows and stuff till people mentioned it. So, that's quite impressive!
