Would just like to know what you pro's present photographs in. I mean, if someone orders five 10x8's from you for instance, would you use card backed envelopes or are there other alternatives?
Card backed would be the simplest and cheapest, I found a local shop as cheap as ebay. Check the exact size your going to need as it can make a difference in postage cost, I know I made a mistake first time and got a4 size, when I can get the next size down for my 9 x 6 and save on postage fees. You can get them in different colours if you want to stand out a little.
As for alternatives, that depends on how much your willing to spend, I once looked at custom made and fully printed boxes, too much for my needs, but Edinburgh Gary uses them I believe.
If I'm sending anyone prints, I use card backed envelopes which came from Lyreco. I usually make sure the print side faces the board and slip another piece of board between the prints and the paper side of the envelope.
This is purely for prints for friends etc rather than as a commercial venture!
