A few years ago I had a full set of Michelin Energy tyres and found them quite good for a standard tyre - quiet and grippy but were pretty soft and wore down fast.
Stuck a full set of Yokohama low profiles on at the start of this year and it was like being glued to the road - but within months they were half worn and very loud
I'm going to need new front tyres soon (will do the whole car though) and I'm sticking to standard tyres (i.e. not low profile etc). Any advice on a good tyre which is good in the wet and also very quiet? The latter being just as important.
I don't care so much for dry performance as it's always raining
