Hi All,

I have been invited to an owners club tunnel run. The event is on the evening from about 5pm-1am. The location will be central London (various)

So I know there will be some static cars and also some moving ones, the light will also vary with most of the shots being during dusk/night and the background will have lots of city lighting.

I will be armed with a 7D, a naked Canon 10-22mm and a tripod.

I am after some advice on what I should be doing to catch shots of cars in this scenario. New to this game hence why the post in this section.

use your live view to get the correct white balance and focus, don't go close up with the 10-22 or you'll end up with hugely distorted cars, make sure the car is not in shadow when you expose or you'll end up with a badly exposed image.

Tripod may not be as useful for the moving cars, maybe be better with a monopod if you are planning on panning, or do it hand held if you can.

As POAH said, 10mm on the 7d (16mm???)might cause the cars to look distorted

might lol
