It's known as Weston-super-mud for a reason! At the weekend access to the lower part of the beach for vehicles was cordoned off, but that may have been down to the airshow.

Reading some of the rants posted about the driver and lack of brain etc are amusing. The one that amused me most was the airhead who said that the driver should donate £1k to the RNLI for rescuing the vehicle, as they should be able to afford it as it is a £100k vehicle.

Burnham was a regular stopping off point for me until last year and 'spot the halfwit' a bit of a hobby!

Weston's not easy to get to with a car - even a Range Rover. Weston-Super-Mere/Mud is.

Its a nasty mix of super mud down there. I was only adventurous enough to wander out a few meters in my wellies. Certainly that wasn't a pleasant experience, but also not one that deserves any special mention.
