Of course I will ignore it...here is the proof.

Table 4 shows that, when restrained drivers do sustain injuries in frontal collisions, those in smaller cars sustain more severe injuries and have a higher fatality rate. In small cars the rates of MAIS 3+ injuries and fatality were twice as high as in larger cars. In side impacts the pattern was different. Fatalities occurred at twice the rate in large cars as in small cars, MAIS 3+ levels were similar however the group of uninjured casualties was 27% in the larger cars compared to 11% in the smaller vehicles.

so that will be comparing smaller and larger cars of the same age and general protection level then.

It stands to reason that a driver driving a large old car without crumplezones or airbags will come off worse than a well protected driver of a smaller modern car

Who knows. I would imagine that there are people in the poll that have children. Yet nobody chosen safety yet. I would think cost would also be a big factor for those with children.

If I had kids, I sure as fornicate wouldn't stick them in a tiny tin can! I appreciate that I'm extremely lucky to be able to afford a larger car (and run it) but rather than rely on a car's safety if it's involved in an accident, I concentrate on avoiding them! Can't avoid some cock driving into me but I can do everything in my power to reduce the impact on me if/when it happens.

Hey come on matty, that wasn't me arguing. That was me saying I thought I wasn't doing bad and needed to go back and see where I went wrong. It was me saying I mustn't even realise when I am doing it, not saying I wasn't doing it and that I should go back and learn what I have done.

Joe, I did forget in all the fun earlier, Pop imto your local M&P store, I found tem really helpfull with the last seat we brought, very knowledgable and excellent customer service, we had an isofix stage 1 and 2 iirc which was great, when we went to buy the next stage they had changed the design of the base, having had a moan they agreed to replace the base with the new design FOC instead of the £100 or what ever the price shoul have been.
