Just had an interesting phone call from the car clinic saying, as my rear window is the NON replaceable type would I like a new roof fitted or would I like to have the car written off for half the valuation price (£2550) plus my excess back but they would be keeping the car with no option to buy back?
Obviously I have chosen to have the new roof fitted as there is no way I could find another one in such great condition and this is also what the repairer has said to me.
I have decided to stay with my current insurers even though I think my premium will rise now but lets be fair, they have given me every option and have kept their word by fitting a new roof whereas most ins companies would have just written the car off, they are starting the work today and the new roof will be collected from SAABuk this afternoon.
He says the roof doesnt take long to replace but the weather sealing could take a day to line it up correctly, so all being well I may have her back for the weekend
