Hi can anyone supply me with a link to buying a car rig ,nothing too expensive just dipping my toes in atom.

Everyone thinks they will dip their toes. Almost everyone ends up buying the decent kit, even if the tube remains a cheaper alternative.
Save yourself some money and buy some of the more affordable decent kit straight out of the box.

Have a look at http://www.carcamerarig.com

That's about as good as a kit comes (as you would hope for the price)

A few things to avoid - Manfrotto suction cups. Buy Woods cups instead.
Magic arms are fine for holding the camera but they're not strong enough for mounting to the car. Most people use http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/3616-REG/Avenger_F830_F830_Baby_Swivel.html

Personally i've bought a lot of parts for my rig from Justin (car camera rig) as his kit is good and reasonably priced.
His Carbon poles are also better than you can buy off the shelf (learnt that one the hard way) But they are expensive. This is where i've saved money on my setup. But then the stiffness in my rig is very poor in comparison to a Car Camera Rig.

Once you start rigging you will not look back! It's very addictive as you seek to practice and improve your shots!

We have a dedicated (and huge) rig thread on this forum...

worth having a read through, loads of helpful people on here that will answer any questions you have.

I'd maybe not jump straight in and spend (a lot) of money on a pro rig until you know you want to invest in the equipment. See if you can borrow a rig from someone or make yourself an entry level rig and have a go at it to see how you get on.

I also have a DragonRig that @cardiff_gareth is involved with, I love it and it's a fraction of the cost of some other rigs.

depends on what you want to do with it.. maybe a DIY on to test the water, and if you like doing them then stump up for a proper job..
