Strange thing is Ford transport, currently use Volvo tractor units even though they don't own Volvo trucks. Perhaps they'll replace them with the new Cargo.

the iveco ford brand was a result of iveco buying ford's heavy commercial interest i.e the cargo to allow an almost overnight Market share in the uk.

Once the cargo range was phased out and replaced with the eurocargo range the ford name was dropped.

After the total dis association with ford, ford shifted from the iveco eurotech fleet of tractor units to volvo. Although ford have no tie up with volvo truck, owning volvo cars did make a wee bit of difference to the choice of fleet
