My missus bought herself a used BMW Z4 last year from an independent used car sales. Today, the electric roof has failed.
In the service books, there is a receipt from the previous roof motor replacement which was less than 12 months ago. This was by the previous owner through a local Toyota franchise garage. Does this mean that as its failed within 12 months, she is entitled to any investigative work and replacement if necessary? Also, does she report this to the garage she bought the car from, or to the garage that did the previous work? Or is she s*** out of luck as ownership has changed in the last 12 months?
