im off to a modified car meeting on the weekend i have a sony alpha 100 with satndard kit lens plus ill have my tamron 70 - 300 lens by then any tips and or advice on photographing the cars would be greatly appreciated

Try to get detail/badge shots and be careful not to get loads of peopl in the frame. More importantly have fun

Use the standard kit lens, 70mm will put you too far away if you try to get all the car in frame and people will keep getting in your way. Also, get low, to many people shoot cars whilst stood upright. Imho anyways.
