Car insurance - Unbelievable

My renewal is coming up next month and sort of dreading it. I drive a modified Audi RS3, all modes declared and there are only a few insurers who will take you you on. Those that do really hike the prices up over standard even if you've fitted only something like bigger brakes, which in theory make the car safer. Fingers crossed when I get the quote.

Mine is about to renew - ~35% increase (£235 -> £315). Looking on the comparison sites I could only save a couple of quid for similar cover, excess etc.
