Yes
I got a astra 1700 tdi one with the Isuzu engine , not that it makes a difference, it wont start, total dead from key, all dash lights up , battery is showing full charge,
managed to take off starter motor ( thinking it was that) and replaced it, still dead, theres power going to ignition , and from it, we tested all the usual places with
meter and all seems ok had ignition apart and tested with key ,seems like there is a immobiliser stopping this from working, but power seems to be getting too things
as normal? car will start with small bump, don't know what to try next? anyone got a idea what it might be?

Check for damaged starter cables/bad earth etc. Try jump leads on starter from battery to see if it engages with direct power from the battery through jump leads.Just a quick touch with the cable from positive( earth connected) to starter will tell you thats defo ok or not. Getting nothing when turning key usually turns out to be started/wiring to it at fault.

Not saying it is this but its food for thought.
My old man had a similar problem years ago on his vectra......dash lights up like a xmas tree, battery fully charged but would not turn over.
It turned out to be the immobiliser chip in the key fob needed to be re programmed.

Might be worth considering as being the problem.

was thinking that, but wouldn't it not start , even with a bump?

is it a slow turnover when firing it up or normal fast turnover?

In my dads advancing years and the location of the car when it wouldnt start a bump start wasnt feasible.
He ended up calling an independent vauxhall garage to come and uplift it.

They reprogrammed the key to the car using a tech 2 machine but at a fraction of the cost of a main vauxhall dealer.

If the car runs ok after a bump start it won't be an immobilizer issue.
Sounds to me like a fault with the output from the key to the starter solenoid if it won't turn over when the key is turned.

If you know anyone with a OBDII scanner to diagnose any error codes it should give a clue to the problem. It could also be a fuel problem OBDIIscanners from here work fine, https://tunnelrat-electronics.fwscart.com
First time I bought a cheap one off amazon which was useless.

might be the ignition switch/wiring at fault not making a connection when the key is turned to start the car
a fuse for this that might have blown which should be fuse 21 ( 7,5A) Ignition switch key hold solenoid (AT), alarm system, audio system )
