With the probable demise of Aperture, and my inability to get to grips with Lightroom, I'm trying to research alternatives.
I've used Aperture for many years and like it. But things change, things move on.
I may be the one and only who doesn't really get on with Lightroom; so does anyone use Capture One and thus have opinions on it?
It's easy to read reviews on the web, but I'd prefer opinions of real users.

I'd be interested to hear some responses to this ! I too have used Aperture for a few years and really don't know what to do now - my new camera (OM-D EM-10) doesn't even have raw support on Aperture.

I couldn't get on with Lightroom either it just seems so complicated compared to Aperture :(

I use Capture One Express 7 for most of my editing. Basically, I import all my images through Capture One, then cull them down. Seeing as the software doesn't physically import the images into its own library, just saves the known location, then its much quicker. I can import about 1500 images (RAW) in about 2-3 mins. I then do all the basic editing (exposure, WB, crop, contrast, highlights, shadows, etc and all that jazz). If I need to do any healing or spot removal I then import into photoshop elements. Hope this helps. Any questions, just ask.
