Capture one 6

I got a free copy of 6 express in the spring. I tried it but didn't really got on with it, think I am to used to LR.

Also I wasn't a fan of the files it spat out all over the place. Much prefer the single large catalogue over settings files with the raws. I may be doing something wrong here though as C1 seems to also have a main folder also.

Quality wise I was happy with the results but didn't find them any better or worse than LR really.

v7 will work better for you Chris, you can keep everything in a single catalogue.

I personally prefer each project to be in a session, and then use Media Pro to keep hold of the main catalogue of complete, edited and keyworded images.

I would give it a go but I'm currently invested in LR4 and happy. Maybe I'll give it a go in future before I upgrade to LR5.

I installed Capture One having got it with the magazine. I give it my usual test of seeing how far I can get without looking at any instructions, ;) and nothing. Couldn't even open an image.  Unless it did something amazing that other RAW processing programs did, I can't be bothered putting that much work into something.

To me it does, heavy learning curve but the best images in terms of quality IMHO

Just downloaded CaptureOne Express 6,free from a magazine. Funds are tight so LR4 is out of the question at present. Maybe I'll like maybe not, haven't really used LR so nothing to compare with :-)

My advice is stick with it. It takes a lot of time to get into, but once you do it really is worth it. Such a deal to get it for free too.
