Capture One - £85 +VAT

that does seem VERY cheap....

fairly sure it's legit mind, but have asked phase one to confirm.

edit: All fine. It's a great deal, if you're after capture one, gogogo. https://BANNED/davebirdphoto/status/242940558698479616

Anyone compared it to Lightroom 4?

https://BANNED/davebirdphoto/status/242940558698479616 verified as legit btw, and a purchase by my friend today went through fine.

Compared to lightroom 4.... it's quite a kettle of fish. There's a LOT of differences between the two systems.

For most photographers, lightroom 4 gives an easier to use, better cataloguing system and a wider range of simpler adjustment tools. For commercial photographers, tethering in C1 is unparalleled, the C1 raw converter is superior to the adobe ones, etcetc. It is, however, more technical, can be a bit of a pain to work with, etc.

Certainly don't view it as a 'cheap alternative to lightroom' as it's a far more advanced bit of software.

Ah, right I've downloaded the demo and will do the same for Media Pro and give it a whirl.
I like lightroom but seeing some of the results I like the look of it.

Cheers but I had a play and its really not for me - looks to be a bargain though if you could master it.

What version is this ? I downloaded Capture One 6 free not that long ago as a promo from there site....is it the same version ?

It wasn't very intuitive to me - added a spot removal which just blurred rather than removed the spot then went to remove it by pressing delete and it deleted the image.

Also I mostly upload to flickr for the family rather than any commercial work and it appears there no direct upload method and I'd rather not process, export, then upload as its a bit of a waste of time and drive space (which despite have a TB drive its starting to get full!)
