capture NX2

Oh god, I love NX because you don't have to open 11tybillion images, Lightroom and all the rest of then get right up my nose, with all that import export crap.
I think the software you'd need is Nikon Picture Project (I could be wrong), that hit the bin many moons ago, bet I've still got it on disk somewhere.

hum, reading you're post again, I'm not sure I answered your question, do you just want to open 1 image or a great pile of them all at once ?

You can put NEFs straight into CaptureNX but you may find that ViewNX, which is free, a good tool for sorting through lots of shots. The most recent version is extremely good at large batch conversions from NEF to jpeg.

I still use CaptureNX when doing specific edits, but ViewNX complements it very nicely.

isnt capture nx2 nikons version of photoshop?

anyway it is designed to work with nef files so that any in camera enhancements that other raw processors will ignore, will be applied when opened with nx2. but it does all the usual PS tricks too. HTH
