I am having problems opening NEF files which were shot on a D90 as Adobe SRGB, can anyone advise how to convert from Adobe SRGB files to sRgb files.
At 79 yrs I have looked without success on the 'net', I may have tried the wrong places.
Camera now being set to sRGB

Go to edit - preferences - colour management and click on the drop down box and choose the profile you want then make sure the "use this instead of embedded profile" box is checked and then click ok. Should then covert them to srgb.
