i have been aproached by a magazine to use some images and they say they want them captioned ,what do they mean by this?

i assume - some little speech mark bubbles with people in the pics "saying" something (A bit like cartoons / comics????) , or they want to use as a caption competition? Just a guess.

They want a description, such as "Mrs Smith is seen here receiving her medal for baking 12 fairy cakes"

Hi captioning means including info on what the pic contains ie If i submit a sports pic to the desk I include a caption on the lines of " -------united's joe blogs out jumps ------ city's joe blogs in there ----- league cup clash at "da da da " ground with united going on to win 2-1" I can include this while running the shot through CS under "File Info". Kind regards Graham.

so do you think i should put it in the file info ..at the moment i have just renamed some of the images but i,m just trying to look profesional..

Depends on the mag. Easiest way is to rename the file with the caption. Keeps it short that way.
