Yes
A bit of advice needed. My local paper have asked me to submit images from local football matches, they have requested I caption the images.

Not entirely sure of the best way to do it. The first batch of images i sent, i just changed the file names to the relevant captions, this didn't seem ideal though as some of the captions were quite long and i pretty sure this isn't what they were expecting

I would have thought you should be putting them in the ITPC data using Aperture/Lightroom/Photoshop ect. along with in the email you post.

It's a pain in the **

I do them all individually in Bridge, I include names locations etc, takes ages.

I suppose it depends how many you are sending to them.

What are the subjects?

Yep as mentioned, just fill in the caption info. You can also do in photoshop i think under file>info

Yep

Do the first image will all the generic info like location, event, keywords and so on, then save this as a metadata template and then add this template to the rest of the images just changing the persons name.

Have a look at IPTC Web for a full list and how to fill them in

I would make myself an action that opened up the iptc area just before saving so keywords or captions can be typed in, then when you ok that it carries on saves out your photo and moves to the next open shot.

Steve...:)
