i'm considering taking a leaf out of mrtoad's (geof's) book and giving up using caps.

the more typing i do the more i find it a pain to keep hitting the shift key, and very often in the wrong place.

I can't (by anystretch of the imagination) speed type and always used to catch the caps lock key when aiming for the shift. Cure? Popping the caps lock key off and taping it somewhere safe. If I ever need to lock caps, I can pusy a paper clip through the tape and engage it that way but in the 6 months or so since removing it, I haven't needed to lock caps. It's no real hardship to keep the shift key depressed anyway.
