Hello. Im looking at getting a DSLR camera (possibly the Canon EOS 1100D). I will practice with it for a while but ide like to go commercial with it and possibly sell pictures on a canvas.
Questions:

1. What equipment would I need / where is the best place to get it. (Canvas / canvas frame. Would a standard A4 printer be ok for smaller canvas prints?)
2. Would it be easier to buy the canvas frame and I just apply the image on to canvas via printer then stretch?
3. Any useful tutorials on how to stretch the canvas on to the frame?

I just thought I could make more if I created the canvas myself. Only problem is now I realise my A4 printer will only produce A5 canvas prints by the time the canvas has been stretched :(

Yeah I didn't want to have my own shop sort of thing. It was more of a hobby / earn a little money not make a living from it. As I can create websites I was going to make my own site with photos / ordering function in order for people to pick there photos and I put on to canvas.
 
I'm with POAH all the way on this one out source this all the way, they are many companies that specialise in canvas it's all they do, they've invested the 10's of thousands of pounds in the specialist gear to allow them to produce canvases to the very highest of standards and if your getting the volumes to a decent level you can be sure that your price per canvas will fall in comparison to what the general public will pay...

Without wishing to sound in anyway patronising but if you've not even got a camera yet then start there first, learn about the camera how to get the most out of the camera and built up a library of images that are marketable then think about the prospects of selling on any serious level :thumbs:
