Hi all,

I'm researching camera shoulder bags that won't look like a camera bag.
Ideally canvas, able to store my X100s, 10'' tablet and few personal belongings.
I'm looking at Domke, Think Tank and Lowepro, but I'm sure there are other, maybe less known brands worth considering.

Can you please recommend something?

Thanks,

Seb

Have a look at Troop London canvas bags. If you want padding for protection, you could always just get a small case for the X100S, or a camera insert (loads available on Ebay and Amazon).

It seems like a good option. Normal canvas bag + insert works out much cheaper. And I can always weatherproof it myself, either with spays or wax/parafine combo.

My wife has one of these http://www.geographicbags.com/2346-midi-messenger comes with a zip up padded bag for camera/lens and dedicated space for tablet

Made from water repellant material and definitely doesn't shout camera bag

Think they do similar ones in both larger and smaller sizes

I use a Troop bag. Not got around to getting an insert just yet, but it's done the trick for me with both film and digital bodies and on kine there was no problem getting a tablet into the pocket on the back.

I don't use an insert with my Troop manbag either, but then my XF1 is light enough to not really need anything else (I don't chuck my bag around and I keep the camera in it's own compartment to prevent bashing other things and to make it easy to find in a hurry).

I've even taken the EM-5 in it, although that was with a small prime lens and no grip. With the 12-40 on it I'll probably use an insert (or at least pad the bottom of the bag) as it's quite a bit heavier and so has more momentum on the move.

The bags are well-made and the canvas is quite thick and sturdy. It's also not obviously a camera bag (unlike the canvas options made by other manufacturers which any half-clued-up thief will recognise), although I _think_ most of time bag thefts are more down to bad luck and/or carelessness rather than the bag you use.

Yep, I think I will settle for a nice Troop bag with inserts. SO many models to choose from
