Can anyone recommend a good company for canvas prints.

I have tried quite, but the quality of the prinitng has not been great. What turns up is not what I see on my calibrated screen.

If you have any personal experience with companies that deliver good quality printing as a good price, as these are for resale, can you please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

I've had good results and prompt service from www.photo-canvas.com on several occasions; they came top in a magazine survey a couple of years ago so I went on that recommendation

I've got a photobox canvas.

I liked the quality of canvas they used,
the colours looked as they are on my screen (which is calibrated),
the packaging was excellent
the service was really prompt

the only thing I didn't like was that the area which was wrapped around the frame was partly my image and partly white - I would rather it was one or the other.

Can you be more explicit as to what was wrong with the ones you got done already?

Some of the companies automatically adjust images for canvas. It might be that you would need to email in and ask for your images not to be adjusted.

Personally, I have had some large (almost A2), canvases done from Snapmad, and a smaller (~12" square) done from Oxford imaging.

The images were of different things, but ultimately I am not dissapointed with either.
People stated that they expect that Snapmad are scrimping somewhere, and that it will fade in 3 months, but so far it is holding up well with a spotlight aimed at them in the dining room.

The only 'major' difference between the canvases, was a ~50p worth amount of brown sticky tape stuck to the rear of the Oxford imaging canvas to tidy/hide the area where the canvas ends/meets the frame.

In addition the type of corners folded were different. I felt that the oxford imaging ones were slightly bulkier.

I doubt you would/should be dissapointed with either. Both appear to match my calibrated monitor.

If you are having major difficulties with colours, check that you are following instructions correctly, and sending profiled (and correct profiled) images to the companies.

Oxford Imaging - Used by a number of people on here, great service, prices and product.
