Where has the "puke" smiley gone?Rule 7 - Don't under thread of death disturb Yv when the cricket is on...
In all seriousness it's all pretty sound advice, I'm sure the team of green shall continue to have the upmost support and respect for their hard work from now and into the future from the majority of the membership myself included![]()
Where has the "puke" smiley gone?
Yeah it did have side of cheddar to it I'll freely admit that

I can tell you [but I won't] which members would actually punch each others lights out within 10 mins of meeting each other in a pub.
Damn and I thought I hid it quite well in the pub the other night![]()
What is this RTM button of which you speak![]()

I used to get called a c-unit on a daily basis when I was a doorman. My usual retort was "Well, you are what you eat. P###k!"
Oh no, not that. Please. Anything but that.... and pish in yer water supplies.
I think all forums are different and probably reflects the subject and the type of people who follow it. I've been on forums where you can get personally attacked for having a different opinion to someone else and if you're not in general consensus with the rest of the group, you're automatically an "outsider" and get treated differently.A couple of slightly tongue in cheek MADE UP examples of things that you WON'T see on my other interest forums.
I've always gone by the idea that the only way to avoid any fights or arguments is to have only one human on the planet. As soon as you introduce a second human, you're gonna have a difference of opinion/ideas, leading to fights and even violence. It is human nature.if everyone could just 'get along' in a large community, the world wouldn't be in the mess it is in.
Unfortunately that's just human nature, and over a period of time, little groups or clubs will form within a forum.I've been on forums where you can get personally attacked for having a different opinion to someone else and if you're not in general consensus with the rest of the group, you're automatically an "outsider" and get treated differently.
I can assure you that we, the staff and admin, are working behind the scenes to try and stop this.TP for me has always been a nice place compared to other forums, even considering the recent arguments.
I was on another forum about movies, now i don't bother because a few member got together in a little group, let just they were royal pains in And thats another very good ideaI think talk photography is big enough,to enjoy the member you get on with, and avoid those member you don't![]()

If you are gonna quote me, try quoting the whole thing thanks

the "pub test" e.g. Would you say that down the pub?
I have to say mate that i'm not sure the pub test works - theres all sorts of stuff i'd happily say down the pub that i wouldnt dare say on here - principaly because I know the people i'm in the pub with and they know when i'm joking and when not - and uninvolved sensitive little flowers looking to get offended on behalf of someone else would just get told to butt out in a pub environment, and people just trying to cause an argument would get told to go forth and multiply.
Certainly anything that I wouldnt say down the pub is unfit for forum viewing , but it doesnt automatically mean that if its pub safe its also forum safe
Not to mention that anyone who gets barred from our local for persistent bellendery doesnt come back the next day disguised as someoneelse
if anyone feels the need to enjoy a member its probably best that they don't shout about it![]()
"Apparently" that was Elizabeth Margaret Braddock (Bamber)JPTrue - but I once paraphrased the churchill you're drunk thing to a complete stranger in a pub ( Some lady or other said to winston " Churchill you're drunk" and he alledgedly replied " yes madam but you are ugly , and in the morning i'll be sober" )
IndeedAh Sir Winston Churchill some of the best quotes ever
