Can't type into Google search box

I'm having trouble typing into Google search box for the last couple of days. If I do a re-start I can type into it just the once and then nothing. Can anyone shed any light on the problem please.
 
Couple of things to try:
clear cache, cookies and history- though your best not to clear everything, especially if you are playing 'Cookie clicker' :)

Next, go to the bottom right and see if there is a 'settings' tab (you may have a cog at top right depending on your browser)

then click on 'search settings' to enable or disable 'google instant'

save settings and see if that works.

If the above doesn't fix your problem, create a new User Account on your PC and logon using that. You will have to copy over any files which you have stored in profile areas, eg. Desktop, My Documents.

Don't know which part of the above worked:confused: but things seem ok at the moment, thank you.
