Can't eject a CD from the Mac

Nice one on it ejecting. Agreed about contacting Apple, as it might be prudent to have it looked at (whilst in warranty) to save repetition at a later date and no doubt at the most inconvenient time...
 
hi mate, it could be this or not?? mine was doing the same, a few weeks ago (pc)symbols were dissappearing and then appearing all of a sudden..this went on for a while, tried all the stuff that you tried...installing, uninstalling, no luck..so i took the side off pc , then removed the ribbon cable that connects the dvd drive to pc..found that it was rubbing against the fan, and it was this, that was causing it to act funny ,replaced the cable no problems since... you have to look very carefully at the cable it was very minute rubbing...mark.

And no doubt it would happen again and permanently just after the warranty ran out!

Wouldn't have a clue what I was doing to be honest so I wouldn't even try and take it apart. As said, will contact apple and, if necessary, let them do it as it is under warranty.
 
Happens to me every now and again, a reboot usually does the trick, I just hold down the eject button as I'm rebooting. If that doesn't work, try to eject within disk utility.
 
I had to use a credit card to guide the cd out of the slot while pressing the eject button on the keyboard when a disc got stuck in my Macbook :)
