Hi everyone, sorry i havent posted today, iv been on about a 10 mile bike ride, then had to do some stuff, and thanks for all the support everyone :)

It means alot to me that semi pro and pro photographers can say such good things about me.

Sorry, - not funny! - It does not help bringing up a young person to treat the elderly with the respect they so rightly deserve. - One day you will be the old person and I'm sure you will not find it so funny to be mugged by a 15 year old!

Donated - for a good cause. Well done, Ged! I'm 15, as well, and it's hard to save up to get camera equipment but it's worth every penny! :thumbs:
 
Wow, this is really great. This has all made my day, everyone is so nice on here, and its nice that people have money to spare to give to "some Kid"... to help his photography :)
I mean, even my friend today said "i would never donate to any site, not even a well known one" I thank everone greatly and wish you all well in your future photography.

Er, perhaps you would explain why we should do so. I'm interested in the image, not your equipment, your software, the problems with getting the shot or anything else.

Obviously Ged can charge whatever he wants for his work, but there is a risk he's under-pricing himself.

i understand that point, though.
when he gets good enough to sell shots for a decent amount of money, people are just going to say 'well, you used to sell them for a quid, why should i pay £50 now?'
and selling cheap also can cheapen your image.

but as i said before, its nobodies business but his own how much he wants to sell for.
 
Does the above apply also apply to the girls who've sold their virginity on ebay?:D

These days at motorsport there's so many photographers or the event togs have the best positions you'll be lucky to sell any unless you get a unique shot, but if he is lucky enough to sell them then usually they are to club competitors who'll only pay about £5 a print anyway.
 
Well done Ged, wishing you all the best of luck with your endeavors. People are really too quick to judge on times, hope you make enough to get the camera you're after... which model is it incidentally...? D3, D700 or 5DII I hope... :)

he's shooting rallying, so he has as much chance as anyone else.
 
Incidentally Ged, if you want some web space to host your site and portfolio of images - without all that forced advertising, drop me a PM. I own a dedicated server with loads of space, and would be happy to let you have a simple hosting package; you're showing great initiative and I'd love to help.
 
Hi, iv added a few more photos and please if anyone can... sign up to my site and become a member. Theres a mini forum on there and you can add some more of your thoughts and opinions...
Also, any further donations woul be a help, but im not a charity case... id prefur to sell some photos :D maybe even sell some prints and post them :)
