Canon have announced their answer to the Panasonic GH4; the new Canon XC10

I've already made up my mind about the camera but I'm curious to know what others think of this, especially if you work with video for a living.

I'm generally impressed with the spec but slightly disappointed with the fixed lens and small sensor. That said, they have to protect the Cinema line so they have to limit what it's capable of to avoid taking sales from the C100.
As a wedding shooter, both photography and video (although not at the same time) I think think has it's place for B footage alongside DSLR run and gun type shots.
What are your thoughts?

Andrew over at EOSHD sums it up nicely! They are clearly protecting the Cinema line. The fixed lens and small sensor is disappointing when compared to what Panasonic and other have managed. Even the EOS M line has a bigger sensor.

I agree with everything Andrew over on EOSHD has said. Unless something interesting comes out in the next month or so I'll be selling what's left of my Canon kit for a GH4.

It's a shame how hideously ugly the thing is though. Seriously Canon, I wouldn't use that thing even they paid me too!

No RAW, i rather stick to 2K RAW than 4K compressed

Two cfast 2 cards will cost you more than the camera !!!!
